Environment Explorations

Trying out an awesome technique in Photoshop that Tom Scholes taught us in one of his workshops. Basically, it's creating a depth map using only black and white values and then going to 3D-->New Mesh from Gray Scale-->Plane or any other surface. This technique allows you to explore ideas quickly and not get discouraged by complex 3D programs which take a long time to learn.

another quick photostudy

Trying to get better at using more saturated colors in landscapes. I couldn't get the colors right for the longest time so this one ended up taking about an hour.

These sketches are for a mural that some friends and I are doing for Radio Emily(Emily Carr's radio station). My friends Samantha is doing the photographer, painter, the design girl and a squid dude who is a DJ :D

I still need to finish an animator, illustrator and maybe a sculpture student.
